On April 21, 2014, Mr. Shao Weimin, the Deputy Mayor of Wuhan, had a cordial meeting with CALI marketing delegation. Ambassador Sola  Onadipe, Deputy chief of Mission Embassy of Nigeria, Mr. Abu-Obe, Senior Commercial Counsellor, Mr. Ayo Otepola, Consul General in Consulate General of Nigeria, Mr. Zheng Jun, MD of CALI, Mr. Thompson, DMD of LFZDC, Ms. Yao Guimei, Deputy Director of Institute of West-Asia and African Studies, Chinese Academy of Social Science, Mr. Wang Hao, Chairman of CCPIT Wuhan Council, Mr. Li Pu ,deputy director of the Foreign Affairs Office and Mr. Liu Danping, deputy director of Bureau of Commerce, attended the meeting.

Both parties exchanged views on strengthening the economic and trade ties between Wuhan and Lagos, and holding special products exhibition in LFZ. The two parities agreed to promote the establishment of sister city relationship between Lagos and Wuhan, and Lekki Free Zone will be a platform to accelerate the “going out” pace of Wuhan enterprises.
