On the 20th of August,2013, The Airtel Management Team visited Lekki Free zone and discussed business proposition to partner with the Lekki Free Zone Development Company on the upcoming EKO Expo to be held at the zone from the 23rd to the 29th of September 2013. The team also   offered to set up a one stop shop that enables LFZDC to focus on it’s core area of business.  Airtel intends to manage the Free Zone’s Telecommunication needs by offering various services such as the Closed User Group (CUG) facility where members communicate with each other absolutely free of charge in addition to providing the future telecommunication needs as the zone expands. There was also discussions on the possibility of rolling out Fibre optic cable facility in the zone.
