The Deputy Director of The Department of West Asian and African Affairs of The Ministry of Commerce Visited CRCCCAC and CALI

On December 24th 2013, Mr. Cao Jiachang, the deputy director of the Department of West Asian and African Affairs of The ministry of Commerce visited CRCC China-Africa Construction Limited (CRCCCAC) and conduct a survey. During the following meeting, Mr. Sun Yong, the general manager of CRCC China-Africa Construction Limited (CRCCCAC), made a working report and exchanged views on promoting the Lekki Free Trade Zone and expanding the African market. Mr. Zheng Jun, the Assistant of General Manager of CRCCCAC and general manager of China-Africa Lekki Investment Ltd, attended the meeting and made a special report on the development of Lekki Free Trade Zone project.

Sun Yong, general manager of CRCCCAC, extended a warm welcome to deputy director Mr. Cao. He said the CRCCCAC is one of three African platforms of overseas operations conducted by CRCC, the current Nigerian Lekki Free Trade Zone is taking shape as planned, CRCCCAC is also actively promoting key projects in Guinea, Mozambique and South Africa, closely tracking the progress of resources channel projects in The republic of Congo, and Cameroon, hoping that the Department of West Asian and African Affairs of The ministry of Commerce can offer support in the relevant project.

Mr. Zheng Jun , the general manager of CALI , made a report covering from government support , locational advantages , Metro mode, favorable policies, security assurance, shareholder strength , and other aspects of progress status and existing problems.

A Deputy Director Mr. Cao Chang pointed out that the zone is a new model of overseas expansion for Chinese companies , it’s also a the secure platform, an important platform, a promising platform, which will certainly be supported by the Department of West Asian and African Affairs . Hoping that while focusing on projects market analysis, strengthening the links , Lekki Free Trade Zone can also better seek support domestically and internationally , to promote development through reform. Department of West Asian and African Affairs hopes to create business opportunities and promote marketing strategies together with Lekki Free Trade Zone and offer assistance on attracting investment.

Xie Qinsheng, Yuan Lin, Zhang Shengbin ,Guo Hu and other staff from the Department of West Asian and African Affairs of Ministry of Commerce, together with deputy general managers Zhang Wenjin and Yuan Jun also attended the meeting and participated the survey activities.
