On the 14th of January 2013, the officials of the Nigerian Navy led by Navy Commodore UB Onyia (Deputy Director Strategic) Navy Head Quarters visited the zone and was received by the Deputy Managing Director, LFZDC in person of Mr. Thompson Adeyemo and Chief Security Officer, LFZDC in person of Maj. Patrick Agunpopo(Rtd).

The purpose of visit is in preparation of the deploymentof Nigerian Navy at Lekki Free Zone.
