GOVERNOR SANWO-OLU VISITS THE SOUTHWEST QUADRANT OF THE LEKKI FREE ZONE

The Management of Lekki Free Zone Development Company (LFZDC) in conjunction with the Management of Lekki Worldwide Investments Limited hosted the Executive Governor of Lagos State, Mr. Babajide Olusola Sanwo-Olu on a two-day working visit to the Lekki Free Zone Southwest Quadrant from 19th March to 20th March 2021. The Governor was in the company of some members of his Cabinet like the Honourable Commissioner for Commerce Industry and Cooperatives, the Honourable Commissioner for Physical Planning and Urban Development and the Honourable Commissioner for Environment among other accompanying government officials.

The Governor and his entourage was received by the Chairman LFZDC Mr. Biodun Dabiri, Managing Director LFZDC Mr. Huang Xigong, The Deputy Managing Director LFZDC Mr. Adegboyega Balogun, the LWIL Management team, Representatives of the Government Agencies and members of Staff

In his welcome address the Deputy Managing Director Mr. Adegboyega Balogun on behalf of the Management and staff of LFZDC and thanked the Governor for taking time out of his extremely busy schedule to pay a working visit to the Southwest of Lekki Free Zone. He also thanked the Governor for his overwhelming continued support towards the advancement of the southwest quadrant of the Lekki Free Zone upon assumption of office. Lagos State has since been witnessing massive infrastructural development, urban regeneration and rural development and state-wide social economic transformation across all sectors of the state
In his own remarks, the Governor stated that the state government is committed to fast tracking the development around the Free Zone Axis to be able to attract the right kind of investors.

He also stated that the construction of the Magbon-Alade highway and other critical infrastructure leading to the Free Zones in Ibeju-Lekki will commence in the next 2 months. The carriageway extends from Lekki-Epe Expressway into the Lekki Free Zone area, covering several kilometers.
During his visit, the Governor was taken round on a tour of the zone and visited some enterprises which include the Pinnacle Oil and Gas Tank Farm Area and the Colori Cosmetics (Longrich) Ultra-modern factory within the south-west quadrant of the Lekki Free Zone
